The Role of Parents

We recognise the important role that parents and carers play in their child’s development and we work in partnership to ensure that your child’s school life is happy and that they thrive academically.

Curriculum evenings, parents’ evenings and drop-in sessions are held throughout the academic year to ensure that parents/carers are kept up-to-date and involved with their child’s learning experience at Shrewsbury House Pre-Prep. There are various opportunities to see your child perform, whether in a School Assembly, production, or music concert, and parents are invited to attend all the sports fixtures we arrange.

We encourage parents/carers to tell us about their children’s experiences outside of school and to keep in touch through the child’s Link Book. There is opportunity at the end of the day to chat to staff at pick-up and our Open Door Policy encourages interaction and dialogue, an important part of our collaborative approach. We acknowledge the significance of working with families to ensure that each child is best supported and encouraged to fulfil their potential.
