A hearty hot meal is provided as part of the school day for all children who stay for lunch.
Our own staff supervise lunchtimes and eat in the hall with the children to help create an appropriate environment for eating together and to encourage positive table manners. We promote a healthy eating approach both through the selected menu for the children and in class as part of the
Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE) curriculum.
We cater for special dietary requirements of pupils from religious groups and different cultures, vegetarians and vegans and those with medical conditions restricting the foods they can eat.
Every class has a snack time in the morning in their classroom and a further snack is provided for those waiting for siblings or attending after-school care.
Breakfast Club is available from 7:30am each day, where a selection of cereals, fruit, fruit juice and bread or toast is served daily, with hot foods an option on occasion.
