Visitors to our school often comment on our “family” atmosphere, and we are justifiably proud of our strong school community. We were sad to temporarily close our doors at the end of March as the Nation went into lockdown, however the school managed to stay “open for business” in the virtual world. Our teaching staff created a rich programme of online lessons supplied via the Seesaw platform and the children’s learning adapted and continued in their homes. It was hugely important for us to keep in touch with families and we were so grateful that every week, parents sent in their personal Newsletter contributions. We received hundreds of photographs and stories of the children’s home learning, outdoor adventures, cookery, personal achievements, birthdays and much more. It was a wonderful way to stay connected until we could meet again in person.
