Pirates Ahoy!

Year 1 have been behaving like Pirates this week… They have dressed like pirates, spoken like pirates and even invaded a neighbouring classroom! After investigating pirate food, the children were very relieved they did not have to eat like pirates! Inspired by drama sessions, the children wrote beautifully descriptive stories of plundering pirates, travelling across …

Love of Languages Morning

This morning we hosted a coffee morning to celebrate the cultural diversity in the school, providing the chance for parents to meet new people and get to know each other better. Each year group prepared some different foods from across the world as part of the international flavour of the morning. It’s amazing to see …

London’s Burning!

Nursery Bakers

Our kitchen makes fresh, home made bread every day for all the children but this week our Nursery children decided to try their hands at baking too! The children carefully mixed the fresh dough and kneaded it. Then it was whisked away to the kitchen to be baked and brought back for consumption! The children …

Superhero Mufti Day

We think our children are all superheroes, every day. However this week they all had an opportunity to dress up as their favourite fictional superheroes when SPPA organised a “mufti” day. The children were keen to demonstrate their super-powers and we were delighted to raise money for SPPA’s chosen charity, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

Our choir provided a fitting start to proceedings with their enthusiastic performance. Families then had an opportunity to make a range of Easter-themed craft creations in their child’s …

Parent Workshop

We welcomed parents from across the school to our English and Maths workshop to come and find out more about the school’s curriculum and some of the teaching methods used. A practical, hands-on session, allowed the parents to have a go themselves at English Reading exercises and Maths problems and to experience activities the children …

Our School instrumental concerts have a brand new format and in addition to the soloists, we have a whole Year Group Choir performing for parents and guests. Our Year One Music Concert was fabulous, with a lot of musical talent on show, but equally lovely to witness was the amazing support the children gave their …
