Year Two children have been learning about the importance of the Rainforest and to support their learning, they had a very exciting visit from Ranger Stu this week! He brought in an owl, a tarantula, an armadillo, a tortoise, a tenrec and a Boa constrictor! Ranger Stu explained how the animals have all adapted to survive in their partiuclar habitats. The children were delighted to meet the animals. Eloise and Nathan were both very brave and held the tarantula but the gorgeous tortoise stole the show by attempting to leave the demonstration area with rather unexpected alacrity.
