Safeguarding

The whole school community is committed to providing a safe, secure environment for each child and establishing a culture of safeguarding. The Governors and the Head fully recognise our responsibilities for child protection and safeguarding, with the well-being and safety of each child paramount.

The School will seek to act in a child’s best interests at all times and will intervene wherever a child’s wellbeing could be compromised. We advocate a positive, open working relationship with parents to help ensure that your child receives the very best care they can.

The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Mrs Davies-Duddy, Deputy Head, (kdaviesduddy@shstrust.net) and the Deputy Designated Safeguarding is the Head, Mr Jon Akhurst (jonakhurst@shstrust.net). Their responsibilities also include children in the EYFS. They are contactable during school hours via email or telephone (01372 462781). Outside of school hours and during school holidays, any Safeguarding concerns should be reported to relevant local authority for the child’s home address.
