History

Shrewsbury House Pre-Preparatory School is an independent school for boys and girls aged between 2 and 7 years old.

The School was founded in 1912 as Milbourne Lodge Junior School and in 2009 merged with Shrewsbury House Preparatory School to become Shrewsbury Lodge School. In September 2017, Shrewsbury Lodge School became Shrewsbury House Pre-Preparatory School.

It is located on a separate site to the Prep school on the borders of Esher and Claygate in Surrey. Both Shrewsbury Pre-Preparatory School and Shrewsbury House, along with The Rowans School in Wimbledon, are administered as a charitable trust by a single governing body. Pupils go on to a range of leading Prep schools after leaving Shrewsbury Pre-Preparatory School in Year 2.
